‘California since 1961 meets Bondi since 2009’ 

We're damn stoked to bring you this collaboration. It's been in the works for over 12 months and we finally get to release it to the world. From a Critical Slide perspective, we have a great deal of respect for the Birdwell brand. They're the OG boardshort maker. Still made by hand in California and a brand that has stayed true to their original vision and remained authentic. We handled much of the design work in at Critical Slide, utilising Birdwell's classic 301 block as the fixed waist boardshort option. We have also produced a Mix Tape inspired short, utilising Birdwell's signature SurfNyl fabric. All shorts have been hand made in the Birdwell factory and come with their lifetime warranty. 

The t-shirt showcases the mateship this Colab has been built on. Two pals getting together and making something happen. We've shot the campaign with legend Photographer Arto Saari with Hawaii based surfer, Toots at home in Waikiki, the spiritual home of Longboarding.
